Project Overview:
Plasma protein is the key component of plasma’s solid content, typically ranging from 60 to 80 g/L. These proteins exhibit a wide array of functions. In China, the animal protein sector is undergoing rapid expansion. While animal protein is extensively utilized in feed production as a nutritional additive, its application in food processing remains relatively limited.
Pork plasma, often referred to as “liquid meat” due to its rich protein content, presents vast potential in processing and value addition. Plasma-derived globulin powder is in high demand in the feed industry year-round, and in recent years, there has been growing interest in its development for food-grade applications.
Product Introduction:
The high protein concentration in plasma makes it a valuable resource in animal nutrition. With continuous advances in processing technologies, plasma globulin powder has become an important ingredient in animal feed. Moreover, the increasing awareness of its functional benefits is opening doors to its potential use in food-grade products, offering a promising market outlook.
Equipment Summary:
Spray drying is a highly efficient and widely adopted method for transforming liquid materials into dry powders or granules. It is especially suitable for processing solutions, emulsions, suspensions, or paste-like substances. When final product specifications such as particle size, moisture content, bulk density, and shape must be controlled precisely, spray drying becomes the optimal choice.
Working Principle:
Filtered and heated air is introduced into the top section of the drying chamber via an air distributor, ensuring even airflow distribution in a spiral motion. Liquid feed is atomized into fine droplets by a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower. These micro-droplets rapidly contact the hot air stream, resulting in almost instant evaporation and drying. The dry powder is continuously collected at the base of the tower, while exhaust air is discharged through a cyclone separator and fan.
Key Features:
◎ Extremely fast drying—after atomization, the material’s surface area increases dramatically, allowing 95–98% of moisture to evaporate in seconds, making it ideal for heat-sensitive materials.
◎ The final product features excellent uniformity, solubility, and flowability, with high purity and quality.
◎ Simplified process and easy control—liquids with 40–60% moisture (up to 90% for certain materials) can be dried directly into powder form, eliminating the need for post-drying crushing or sieving, thus enhancing product purity and production efficiency.
◎ Product characteristics such as particle size, bulk density, and moisture content can be finely tuned by adjusting operating parameters, making process control convenient and flexible.
