Project Overview
Steroid hormones, including compounds similar in structure and function to estrogen and progestins, are essential active pharmaceutical ingredients used in human and veterinary medicine. Based on customer-supplied material parameters and our in-house trial data, a ribbon-type vacuum dryer has been selected as the optimal solution for processing these sensitive compounds.


Product Application

Steroids refer broadly to hormones produced by the human or animal endocrine system. These include glucocorticoids, adrenocorticotropic hormones, norepinephrine, progesterone, estrogen, and androgens. In medical practice, “steroids” typically refer to glucocorticoid medications unless otherwise specified. Other hormones like insulin, growth hormone, and testosterone are referred to by their specific classifications.


Product Overview

The GLZ Ribbon Series Vacuum Dryer is a next-generation vacuum drying and mixing system developed through the assimilation of advanced international technologies. It integrates drying, mixing, vacuum decompression, and powder handling in a closed, continuous process.
Key components include a motor-driven ribbon agitator, vacuum jacketed chamber, mechanical seals, filters, cone-shaped discharge valve, and a robust structural frame. The system is particularly well-suited for pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food additives, and pesticide powders, offering drying efficiency 3–5 times higher than that of traditional SZG double-cone vacuum dryers.


Working Principle

The system features a vertically aligned, stationary main chamber with an internal ribbon agitator that moves in a circular motion. The heated jacket and agitator work together to provide intensive mixing and uniform heating. Material is constantly agitated, lifted, flipped, and cascaded, ensuring thorough contact with the chamber walls and consistent heat exchange. Solvent is evaporated under vacuum conditions and extracted efficiently, achieving rapid and uniform drying while preserving the integrity of delicate compounds.
